What is TPD / TRPR?
The Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) is the framework originally introduced across the EU to regulate tobacco and vaping products. In the UK it is implemented and enforced through the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (TRPR). Together, these rules set strict standards for the safety, quality, labelling and sale of nicotine-containing products.
How our products comply
Every nicotine product on our site meets UK TRPR/TPD requirements:
- Nicotine strength is capped at 20mg/ml (2%) — we do not sell anything stronger.
- E-liquid bottles containing nicotine are a maximum of 10ml.
- Tanks and pods have a capacity of no more than 2ml.
- All products carry the required health warnings, ingredient listings and batch information.
- Products undergo the emissions testing and toxicological assessment required under the regulations.
MHRA notification
In the UK, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) oversees vaping product compliance. All nicotine e-liquids and devices must be notified to the MHRA before they can legally be sold. We stock only genuine IVG products that have been properly notified and meet UK standards.
How we ensure compliance
- Genuine stock only: we sell authentic IVG products sourced through legitimate channels.
- Supplier vetting: we work only with reputable suppliers who provide documentation of compliance.
- Ongoing review: we regularly check our range to ensure every item remains compliant with current UK regulations.

A note on 2026 regulatory changes
UK vaping regulation is evolving. A Vaping Products Duty applies to vaping liquids from 1 October 2026, and from 29 October 2026 the minimum age of sale of 18 extends to all consumer nicotine products, including nicotine-free vapes and nicotine pouches. We are committed to remaining fully compliant as these rules take effect.

Add this into the Age Verification Policy I gave you earlier. In the opening section, change the scope line to:
IVG Vapes is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. It is illegal in the UK to sell nicotine-containing vaping products to anyone under 18. From 29 October 2026, this 18+ requirement also applies to nicotine-free (zero-nicotine) vapes and nicotine pouches — so all age-restricted products on this site, whether they contain nicotine or not, are for over-18s only.
That keeps you ahead of the 29 October change rather than caught out by it.
